An early Christmas for Marleah

Christmas came early to Marleah this year.
This is her third year learning the harp, and she was struggling to find enough time to practice on the harp that finally made it to her middle school.
There are no harps currently available to rent in Rochester, so we took a very deep breath and made the decision to get her one.
It's absolutely beautiful, and we all look forward to years of lovely music!
(And we're crossing our fingers that she keeps this interest for a long long time!)

Marleah's Last Concert

Marleah has been playing the harp for two years, and singing in the school chorus for three.
Last month was the Spring Concert, and Marleah's last before moving on to middle school!

Here she is with Dierdre, harping away for their solo.

Getting ready for the chorus presentations. Marleah has loved learning the songs- especially the ones with hand or body motions to enhance them, and she wants to continue the harp.
I'm very proud of her expanding her talents and learning to love more and more things.

Don't forget Marleah

Marleah decided to be a crayon this year, so here's what we made.

Backyard stuff

Here's the latest backyard project.
This time, it's Marleah and the neighbor kids working on a shelter.
At one point, they actually had four walls (utilizing the fence) with about four times the amount of sticks and logs that you see here, and this patch of roof remains.
Ah, to have the ideas and ambitions of youth....

Fun in the Sun

Went to a farm one summer, and the weather was wonderful. The kids got to see different animals and play in the sprinkler that the owners had set up for all to enjoy.
Lucy was in the stroller, but Marleah and Jillian ran all over the place with their cousin Sophia.
Jill's last summer with longer hair....

Sweet Sisters

More of Jillian. She and Marleah are more than sisters, they are best friends (well, usually).
