Finger Lakes Triathlon

Matt decided to tackle a larger triathlon than he'd ever done.
The Finger Lakes Triathlon was what he's trained for since very early spring.
Here's the cheering crew (minus our girls who were running around in the rain).

The first leg of the race is always swimming. I think they don't want people drowning from exhaustion at the end of these races. That said, I saw some pretty tired people peeling off wet suits coming out of Canandaigua Lake.
Total distance to swim: 1 mile.

Biking is next. It's blurry, but here's where Matt started to come into his comfort zone.
Total distance to bike: 25 miles

Running is last. We could tell he was tired, but in very good spirits.
This is the home stretch, and he's feeling good enough to joke around.
Total running distance: 6 miles
Matt did a great job- we're all so proud of his hard work and determination!!
I hesitate to think about what's coming next, but something tells me it'll start with
half, and end with ironman.
