Lollypop Farm

Marleah and Jillian have been begging us to get another dog- pretty much since our beloved Maggie passed away two years ago.
While it's been nice to give my vacuum cleaner a break from fur (not to mention the spring clean-up in the back yard), we miss the unconditional love, enthusiastic door greetings, and instant crumb catcher traits that a four-legged canine offers.
All of us.....except Lucy.

For some unknown head-scratching reason, she has a very healthy fear of being near animals.
She remembers Maggie, and never had a traumatic experience with her or any other dogs, cats, gerbils or goldfish. She's just an animal lover-from-afar.
So when she said she wanted to visit Lollypop Farm (our local Animal Humane Society), I jumped. Took the kids there to see what would happen.
While Lucy declared she no longer was afraid of cats (this said while looking at them through a glass window), this was her reaction anywhere near the dogs....
Ready for another dog?
Nah....not so much.

At least we had a good time visiting.

Maybe next year.
